INESIA, the French National Institute for the Evaluation and Security of Artificial Intelligence, was officially launched by the French government in January 2025. This marks a major step forward in France’s commitment to responsible, forward-looking governance of artificial intelligence, at a time when its uses are multiplying in all sectors of society.
As generative, decision-making and autonomous AI systems gain in power, INESIA‘s mission is to identify systemic risks, strengthen the resilience of digital infrastructures, and support public and private players in complying with new European regulations, such as the AI Act.
